Macaques move to new Primate Forest at the Laos Wildlife Rescue Centre

The first open field enclosure for macaques at the Laos Wildlife Rescue Centre is now completed. Having spent many years in unsuitable environments a troop of 9 macaques have moved from the quarantine area where they had been gradually introduced to each other. ‘Snickets group’ is a mix of rescued and zoo macaques, composing of adult males and females, and juveniles, replicating how macaque social structures are in the wild. We hope to eventually construct 8 open fields to house over 100 macaques currently in our care and enable us to rescue more in the future. Please help us achieve this goal by donating or volunteering with us. http://www.wfft.org/donate/ or volunteer info http://bit.ly/1OEKIt6
